so Im looking @ a build engine
3800 stall looks like the ball park on carb'ed motor
ported/valved/cam'ed

what combo do you run?

Depends on cam specs, comp, other engine mods, car wt, and rear gear. Not enough info to even discuss this. If you want a ballpark answer - 3000-3400 will work for most hipo engines.

For max effort (I mean like 5-10 guys on this site, maybe), go 3800-4400. This would be like ordering a 4000-4500 stall for a V8, so make sure you get specs for a Slant converter.
