New universal 1-bbl carb could be of interest to many members. It wiil be available in different configurations, looks like a Holley 1920 to me, but I'm not very familiar with the 1-bbl carbs.

Not quite a Holley 1920. It's a Caresa 7010 from Argentina, designed along the lines of the local Argentine licenced Holley carburetor used in various configurations on a lot of Argentine-built vehicles of the '60s through '80s. Available with iron or aluminum throttle body and with various different throttle levers, but only one calibration (probably reasonably close to acceptable for most applications) and no automatic choke -- manual only. See the version they produce for the local Slant-6 vehicles (#7001) here, and See some of the other variants on this other Caresa page. Some weirdness around the choke configuration; the choke lever pivot and the choke shaft pivot are not concentric. Also you can see it uses the '62-'63 Holley 1920 type of cam-driven accelerator pump. I think (but am not certain) that the float is brass.

I haven't held one of these in my hand, so I have no idea how well or poorly it's designed or built. Air cleaner fit compatibility could be a problem with US air cleaners.

No price hints either. Kind of makes me wonder what they are going to list these at? Might be a decent alternative though, (maybe)???

It might be fairly adaptable with modifications -- choke, etc., also throttle hookup if they don't bring in the one with the US '60-'66 box-type throttle lever -- to the pre-'71 cars (pre '70 in California). Later applications won't be as compatible because this carburetor has no ducted bowl vent and no venturi vacuum tap for EGR, etc.
