Has anyone ever repainted their steering wheel? Mine has worn thru in spots and I was wondering if simply roughing up and respraying would work well?

Also anybody have a good source for dash pads?

Yep, I painted mine last year while I had the interior out.
Just washed it, wax & Grease remover.
Sanded it all over, wax and grease again.
Stuck a stick through the centre to be able turn it as spraying.
Then I gave it 2 coats of spraycan primer and 4 coats of spraycan colour.
I let it dry a couple of days and finished it by hand rubbing with compound.
looks fine and is wearing well.
