Interesting low-mount compressor bracket. Did you make it, or buy it? If bought, where? I "think" your distributor is a Prestolite IBR-4203G. What would you like to know about it? |

The bracket was locally fabricated and looks like this: I "think" your distributor is a Prestolite IBR-4203G. What would you like to know about it? ![]() Thats the old solex carb by the way. As for the distributor, yes you are correct its Prestolite. I was having trouble with the ignition timing going crazy, like advancing by itself once I drove more than 15-20 miles and will start pinking badly. When I use the timing light to time it, the "flash" moves all over the place too, so I cant time it properly. The timing chain is new, the harmonic damper is new, belt is fairly new. Plug cables is less than 6 mths old. I think the plate at the bottom of the distributor is "moving" or one of the spring inside the dizzy is missing/broken... which is why I took the dizzy out.
