| Post subject: | Goodbye Holley hello Carter |
Changed my holley carb to a carter and what a difference. The only problem is I dont have bolt to attach the air filter , and there is no threaded hole inside the carb so it would have to be mounted around the rim  I boughtit through Napa and they couldnt point me in the right direction |

Sounds like you need the air cleaner bail. It is a roughly half-circle shapes thick wire that arches over the throat of the carb and holds a bolt in place over the center of the carb throat with the threads pointed up. You should be able to grab the bail off of just about any 70s or 80s era Carter BD, Holley 2280, Holley 1920, or Holley 1945. |

If it isn't one of those older ones, that had a "clamp on" air filter... |

Remove the air cleaner bail from your Holley carburetor and put it on your Carter. |
