Ok, so a few months ago, I bought some headers from a nice guy that are obviously for a low starter truck. But I can't get them to fit. two issues:

1. The front header hits the left motor mount, big time. You'd have to cut away a huge chunk of it to get it to come forward far enough, and then it appears that one of the tubes may be close enough to hit the frame on large engine motions. It appears the dipstick would be directly behind the tubes, as well.

2. the rear header appears as if it will hit the back of the starter, and I"m using a mini-starter, even. It can't be put into place with the starter in, for sure.

No, I don't know what brand of headers these are... but I was hoping that someone might recognize the failure to fit and tell me what, exactly, they are for, or if there's something I don't know about that I should be changing or doing.

Thanks.

Update... the front header hits the motor mount, both hit the frame.

There's no possible way these will work on my truck. I suspect they might work on some other vehicle, which will have to have be wider between the frame rails... Or something.

But there's no possibility of them fitting mine.

Sell the headers on, and get yourself a set of Dutra Duals.

If I had the money, that would be great. I don't and won't for a long time. And, of course, nothing beats long, small tube headers for midrange torque.

I need to get rid of intake manifold heat, and these were by far the least expensive option.
