| Post subject: | offy 4 barrel intake with Dutra Duals question |
I need help getting my parts together. I have set of Dutra Duals and an Offy 4 barrel coming in the mail Will i need a block off plate for the hotbox on the exhaust manifold? Doesn't look like they bolt together as do the super six manifolds If i do need a block off plate, how thick can i go? there's an 1/8" thick one on ebay. thanks so much. God Bless Keni www.kenithomas.com |

If the set of Dutra manifolds is the type that has a modified factory manifoldto use as the rear section, then it should all bolt together like a factory set-up. If it's "Dual Dutra Duals" (two new Dutra castings) then there is no intake heat opening so nothing needs to be blocked-off. DD |

OHHH! thanks Doug. That makes sense now. Yes mine is a modified manifold i did myself. Cut it in half and welded the cut shut. i did not close up the exhaust manifold at the hot box. Wasnt aware that yours did that. Thank you for the clarification. i have learned God Bless Keni |
