I have a 66 valiant....stock as a rock...soon not to be...do I have a lock-up tranny or non-lockup..?

All auto trannies prior to about 1978-1980 were non lockup. Darts never even got lockups... You can swap one in if you can find one in a Diplomat, Mirada, Aspen, Volare, truck, van. Cheers, Lou |

Lou, Is this good or bad...when the tranny is rebuilt I would like a serious shift kit..maybe as far as having to shift manually..at that point does it matter if it is a lock-up or not or do I just need to know as far as parts go? |
