Am I on the right track here? Fabrication of components and test fit on the bench. I fabricated a piece to actuate the kickdown on the throttle. Throttle isn't shown but will attach at the top right. One thing. The throttle linkage and cable will be slightly out of line--how much can be compensated for by the cable?

As long is it isnt crazy out of line you should be ok. They will work. I wouldnt want more than 3/16ths" of mis-alignment, but thats me, it may take more of an angle to create problems. |

Angle- wise it looks fine. I assume that you made sure your throttle lever-to- trans lever gives the right amount of travel (ie, full kickdown travel at wide open throttle) |

I hope so. I tried to make the lever produce the same distance around the throttle pivot at WOT. That's why the funny shape. I mocked a few out of cardboard before actually cutting this one. Gives about 2 inches of travel in both directions.
