| When I fill up my tank my gauge reads full for a couple days. Then it'll drop from full to empty over the course of 1 or 2 days and then stay there until I fill up again. Basically once there's 9 or 10 gallons left in the tank, the gauge reads empty. I tested my gauge by grounding the sending unit wire to the chassis and the needle moved up and read full and fell back down slowly once I removed the ground. Do you guys vote for a float issue or sending unit pot issue? I'd just like to have parts on hand once I get the unit out. I don't want to just buy a new sender because it seems like everything thats sold these days is junk, so I'd like to be able to fix my original parts if possible. | |

| It's not the float, it's the potentiometer. | |

| Damn, is there any way to replace it or is it a specialty pot that only comes with a new sender? | |
