Here is a list of what I have do thus far for the slant in my '77 d100 custom:
electronic ignition
super six
holley 350 2bbl
head milled. 020"
all Victor gaskets
3 angle valve job valve guides and seals
head ported
intake manifold ported
exhaust manifold ported
Pertronix flamethrower II ignition coil
Denso iridium plugs
2.25" exhaust
Delco plug wires

If anyone has run similar mods in a half ton I woukd really like to know what Dyno numbers are and also how driveable was it after mods. Looking forward to your opinions! Thank you!

Without any REAL numbers it is impossible to know. You need to know some flow numbers, CR, Head CC. And to boot if you actually what to know what your truck will do then TC Stall, Weight of Veh, rear gear, etc.
Now if I had to guess it could be as much as 150 HP. Depends on the "porting"???
Just my 02:)

Hey thanks Frank! I did the porting myself, and I am no machinist. I did spend about 10-12 hours on everything with a die grinder and did my best. If 150 is what I'm getting out of it then great. It still gets me 20+ mpg. Much more driveable than the stock 100 MINUS 126000 miles of wear on the original top end components.

Numbers that matter (you pick the order of priority):

-Number of miles per gallon of gasoline.

-Number of seconds to get from 0 to 60 mph, from 30 to 50, from 50 to 70.

-Number of seconds to travel a quarter mile from a standing start.

-Amount of oil leaked or burned per oil change interval.

-Percentage of cylinder leakdown.

-Pounds of compression.

-Inches of manifold vacuum.

-Pounds of oil pressure.

-Parts per million HC, percent CO and NOx in the exhaust.

-Running temperature.

Numbers that don't matter:

-Horsepower.
