I am rebuilding a 904 for my project and need some advice. I need to know what parts are best to use. I have a couple of /6 transmissions from 63-64, a v8 transmission from -64 and can get me a couple of v8 transmissions from 66 and up. What parts fit together in a /6 case from 63-64? What parts are best to use? I also have a Transgo 2 kit that will go in the transmission. The project is a /6 with EFI and turbo, nothing extreme just something that has a bit more kick to it than stock, maybe 250-300HP. |

Use the forward drum, 2 gear band and front pump from the V 8 trans. Look for and use a 3.8 or 4.2 ratio kickdown lever. DD |

Thanks Doc for the info. Now for my next question: Where and what rebuild parts do I buy? I have been searching the web and there seems to be a lot of different kits to buy. Do I even buy a kit? or do I buy each individual part separatly? What to do to get most out of my money? |
