I didnt buy lancer but i think the guy has still got it and it ran as long as you poured gas down the carb throat but it is only good for parts but i would be interested in goin half with someone on it.The car is in Blountville Tn. about 1 1/2 hours from me.Idont think that you are located too far from me and my boss's son goes to school in Chapel hill. I'll find out if the guys stll got the lancer and let you know. |

Hey Slanted, Blountville is over 4hrs from me, so I don't think I could do anything about that until summer. Maybe you can post some more details about the car. Could it be a race car project or is it too rusty or trashed? Is it a stick car or auto? What year and how much? You can also use the "private message" function to send me details using my user name. Thanks, Lou |

Dart 270, I have got the number of the guy with the lancer. Its a 62 lancer gt 2 door but it is very rusty and the pushbuttons for the auto trans is stuck ,it was last driven in the 80's. The engine actually sounded pretty good and didnt look corroded(grungy but not corroed) but im only interested in thefront suspension and steering box and misc, parts. The phone number is 423 323 1116 if you would like to call him. By the way what vehicles should i look for as a donar for my 5 speed conversion. Thanks,Mark Charapich. |

I'll think about calling him - thanks. If he can wait 'til June, we'll have a whole load of Slant racers in that area, and some that even want '62 Lancer parts. I bet we can work something out. If you want to use a T5, you will want to look for V6 or V8 Mustangs from the mid-80s and up. Either will work fine, but for a performance car, I like the ratios and extra beef of the V8 units. Lou |
