| Post subject: | Strange "SNAP!" through the carb |
My dart has been running great 225 with 1920 holley, but leaving my folks very steep bumpy gravel raod the car started reving up and down strangley, I got it to flat ground and it was ideling up and down and running rough. I tapped the float bowl gently with the rubber handle of a screwdriver and hit the throttle and it gave a very sharp and not to loud SNAP! out of the top of the carb with no flame or smoke and started running just fine again? Any Ideas what this could have been? debri in the carb or a float thing do to the steep bumby ride? The SNAP itself was about like one of those snap its you throw on the ground on the 4th of july, not real loud but sharp. |

Maybe 'passing' (spitting) a blockage of some kind out of a small passage? Strange to say the least... |
