I've had a lot of help on my /6 project, and finally, after replacing the carburetor with a remanufactured Holley 1920 (same as original) the car actually runs. And runs GOOD.

Have R&R the head three times, replaced bent pushrods, have the head completely rebuilt, and all because we initially drove the car WITHOUT putting enough fluid in the radiator.

No cooling is indeed a bad thing, and so is dirty oil. DUH! I must have been spaced out that day.

Lesson: Mistakes can cost you money. And if I'd just replaced the old worn-out carb initially, I wouldn't have had to tear the head off again. There's always that head gasket to replace, plus the time and labor...

Appreciate this forum, and all the help you great folk have given me. :D :D :D :D :D
