Finished up the second head. No surprises this time. I was much more conservative on my bowl cutting. I ran a 60 grit cartridge roll down the exhaust ports and over the combustion chamber after unshrouding the valves. It's not perfect but good enough for what I want to do with it. Looks good! Appears to be a fair bit of work in the bowls to me. Lou |

Thanks! I got most of my ideas from you guys it's a few hours of work but not much material removed other than around the guide boss and up just under the seat to blend it in. I did not try opening the bowls like I did on the other head (and found water). I also spent some time looking at the head cutaway pictures, so I did not try to raise the low side of the port roof up to the level of the high side. The only thing I could not determine was how much of the guide boss ramp I could remove from the intake. It seems like it goes almost all the way to the port opening, but I was afraid to cut too deep. |

Waiting for my burette to come in so that I can CC the chambers and I know how much to mill off (or not). |

I've removed it in the head on my 'fat pak' motor to the point that there is no 'bump', it's a flat smooth ramp at the port ceiling to the back side of the bowl. Hard to tell how much that did for the engine, whether it helped, or all the 'gump' was from the higher compression...-D.Idiot |

I kinda figured it would not make much difference for what I am trying to do. I need a wide fat powerband and lots of reliability, I don't care what happens at high rpm (5000+) |
