What is the correct ballpark exhaust temp. On the #6 runner. I have a huge difference in temps. 1- 318* 2- 350* 3- 361* 4- 359* 5- 355* 6- 242* Pretty sure this is not normal. I do have issues keeping the car idling in gear that started recently. Thinking this is causing the problem. I'm going to check the plug condition and runner for a possible vacuum leak this afternoon. Any feed back is appreciated. |

Is the pipe plug in the #6 runner or is there a vacuum hose connected to it? |

Vacuum, is going to the brake booster. No plug. I got in late tonight so I was not able to look at anything. Will try again tomorrow. |

What does the #6 runner usually run at as far as temp? Should it be consistent with the others.. I will try plugging the booster and retaking temp readings tomorrow. |

Well I found no vacuum leaks, changed the plugs with nkg's checked compression (160) ignition to all cylinders were good. I went ahead and relashed the valves a little lighter to .013 and .018. This smoothed out the Idel. they were at .012 and .015 (it is a comp cam spec recommend .010 and . 012 but we all know that's to tight) The temp is still low on #6 exhaust runner.... Any ideals. Cars runs good.. Should I be worried about the low temp? Can anyone give me some feedback on what there's reads. It all sounds cold for exhaust. Check valve lash. |
