Yes you could or orange/bronze RTV...but you should be able to install the pump strictly with the gaskets it came with if you cleaned the block mating surface. Are you reinstalling a used or previously installed pump? -D.Idiot p.s. when installing make sure to get the hose the head the right length and install first with hose clamps before installing the pump itself... |

D, My new wp does have the gaskets and I was going to put a little bit on each side. Am I right or wrong? |

It's not needed, but if you are going to make them stick to keep them in place for a quick installation (less to 'juggle'), go for it, it won't hurt your install. -D.idiot |

I used rtv on the block side because of corrosion pits. The rest was dry. |

I use grease,helps seal and makes removeing them later a breeze,no stuck gaskets to scrape.Guzzi Mark |
