On my exhaust from the front going back on motor #5 has a small hole, also going back to intake #11 hole is tapped and little larger. Can I just seal those off with no issues? Advise, thanks Dana

If I am understanding this right, you have a hole in the exhaust and intake manifold and want to know if you can just plug them.

If they are small holes then there shouldnt be a problem doing so, but after so large a hole you may want to take and have them welded shut or even look for newer/ nicer pieces to just replace them. I had a small hole on the original exhaust manifold (1/8"ish in size) so i mixed some JB weld, smeared it in the hole and let it set up. Problem free for over 2 months. I dont know how long it would last because i changed to a 2BBL setup.

If non of this is the case feel free to add some details and we will see if we can help. Keep us updated.

The tapped hole shouldn't be a problem from the way it sounds. You have to figure if it's tapered threads or straight and find an appropriate plug to screw in.

If the hole in your exhaust is small enough you can drill it the correct size for a tap, thread it and put a very short bolt in it.

Never heard of a hole in the exhaust though. It's usually a crack which means a new manifold. VERY few people can weld used exhaust manifolds - I've welded for 30 years and never made it work or found anyone that could. Many claim they can.

Too hard of a job to do twice after it breaks next to the weld. If it actually is just a small hole, you probably could weld it shut. Maybe without even removing it from the engine. I'd drill and tap though.
