Hello. My 71 Duster slant six engine has 'corbin' clamps on almost every hose under the hood. However, the hose at the fuel pump is held in place with a worm clamp. I am doubtful that this is correct, but I cannot find any reference material with a definitive answer. I have the correct style crimped clamps on the hoses at the fuel filter, and there is a different style clamp on the power steerring hose, but all of the coolant hoses have the 'corbin' clamps. Is there anyone out there who knows what a factory 225 ci 6-cyl engine was equipped with? The engine compartment has been restored to factory original and that worm clamp is driving me nuts! Thanks. |

Hi, I like Dusters and plan on a '70 resto myself. Just for reference find the '70 Valiant article/story/pics that won gold at the Nats recently. Most of this car used its original parts that were restored and reused as they left the factory. It would be a perfect reference car and would be the same for your '71 Duster. When I get a little more time I will post the specific magazine and date they wrote the story. I think Mopar Action has pics online and hopefully it shows what you are looking for. Best regards! found it... Its Mopar Action April 2011...man time flies..... |
