Air/oil separator link: http://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS-Performance- ... 3/10002/-1

Hooked up a Jeg's Air/oil separator to see what it would do on my 260,000 plus mile 1980 $100 SL6 barn find.

After a two weeks of hard driving the bowl is about a 1/8th full of oil from the PCV.
My thought was that hopefully it will eventually help to clean up the valves. I had no idea the amount of oil going into the carb and intake. It is pretty nasty.....
I went out to youtube and saw the video of one installed on a 2009 Cadillac. The camera shows how much oil is going in during the accelerations, shifts and deceleration. I always wondered how all that crud built up behind the valve head and coated the valve stem when you have new guides and seals installed. That Youtube video is very telling.

Before I had the 351 in my van rebuilt, it would suck so much oil past the PCV valve that I would have a standing puddle of oil all around the base of the air cleaner on the inside.

Valve seals and sloppy guides can crud the valves too.
