is anyone familiar with the vac hose set up for a single bbl 1975 emissions system? i am going to start tying to repair my vac hoses but since the subject is spread out through the manual i decided to start with emissions system. most importantly just want to get the hose on the carb run to the right places. one such hose is at the bottom of the engine driver side. maybe oil coolant hose? |

Did your manuals come yet? Can you submit a picture then we can help you quicker.... Most of my emissions is gone running the egr, etc. I retained carb heat, PCV filtered air intake to the valve cover and the charcoal filter for the fuel vent line, but that is about it..... If looking at pictures will help, click on the red link blow my name. Go to slide show mode for larger photos. My 74 came with a 1945, but installed a 1920 Economaster for better mileage. Don't let the carb change confuse you. Still the same hoses going to similar locations with a super six air cleaner and 1980 air cleaner truck base. |

yes my manuals have come. i have not found a way to submit a picture yet but will post pics as soon as i find someone with a phone that can email me pics. the manuals are quite good but sometimes still expect you to just know where and what some things are with no pics or little prior info. awesome though every nut and bolt is in there. really would help if i could find a numbered diagram of all vac hoses because with air conditioning added in the mix there is a lot going on and it is hard to be sure without knowing what each hose is supposed to do. thank u again agressive ted will repost when i can supply better detail |

ok if you look at this picture ive got all these routed but there is a hose on my carb not present in pic. the double cylinder on the top right of the carb pic at bottom has a larger vac hose that is plugged. also not sure where to run the t valve hose that connects choke diaphragm to base of carb. so it is plugged. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=1 ... 1000%3B576 |

1. Not sure about the reference, what your referring to.how do i hook osac carb hose straight to distributor? dont know where the t valve in the middle of the hose that connects the choke diaphragm to the base of the carb is supposed to go? i apologize for the unorganized manner of this thread and will try to keep my threads cleaner in the future 2. I run that line labeled OSAC straight to the distributor. 3. My "T" fitting I hooked up to the vacuum gauge. You can cap it in the mean time.... 4. Keep at it.... |
