I have a clifford manifold with the 4 barrel adapter. This adapter has 4 individual holes, one for each barrel. I have seen some manifolds, such as the hyperpack I think, where it is just one big square, not 4 individual holes. Will it be a problem if I cut my adapter up so that there is just one big square in the middle? I think I may need to do this in order to get the adapter coming for my TBI kit to fit. As the guy told me on the phone, the adapter centers the two barrel throttle body on the manifold, so I would need to cut up the adapter as to not block the throttle body. I will know for sure when I get the kit but was just curious if it would be a good/bad thing to cut up the adapter. |

I milled out the 4 holes in my Offy intake, and saw no ill effects. Lou |

The individual holes can help venturi velocity on "wet" manifolds using a carb. but I'm not sure if the TBI will need this. Mixture velocity and distribution can be adjusted with individual holes in a carb. plate by changing size and length of the holes but for where you are at now, I would not worry about it. (we are talking a few HP gain for a lot of "trial & error" time and effort) DD |

Ahh ok so I will not have trouble sleeping if I need to cut out the holes. The clifford plates are solid aluminum right, not hollow? I sure hope they are, at least that will make up for their what, $40 or $50 pricetag |
