Hey again guys,
I have noticed that I have almost no free play in my clutch pedal--it grabs very high, basically at the end of the pedals motion. I just want to make sure it is fully disengaging...how do I go about making this adjustment?

Thanks!!

Here is a parts diagram for the A833 OD clutch...I believe that #14 is the adjusting nut and that's the only clutch adjustment that you have and i think the freeplay should be about an inch

I haven't had to adjusted mine so you can try that out and see how it works...

Depending on the clutch installation it might be #14 and #12 is the 'jamb nut' to keep the conical nut from walking.

Sometime in the late 70's-early 80's mopar did away with the conical nut, flat washer and cone bushing in the fork for a pair of jamb nuts and a metal ball the sits in the hole the conical bushing used to sit in the clutch fork.

Anyway, you will adjust the nut until you achieve actuation at 1" off the floor...some people for some reason like it at 1" down from the normal pedal position. If you have an aftermarket diaphragm clutch that does not use the pedal spring then the pedal will just ride where it sits and it will start to actuate the diaphragm fingers as soon as you step on the pedal.

Good Luck,
