Yes. I am, I couldn't find the lock spring, I was messing around trying to get it for 15 minutes or so. Should I just pull it out as much as it goes and pretty well jam the screw driving around?

Thanks Doc,

Ryan

Yes...
Pull the cable out as far as possible and lift the wire "Spring Lock" to release the end of the cable(s).

Do not force or damage. Finding replacement cable(s) is hard.

You might try using a bright flashlight and looking into the hole to find the spring, then going back in with the screwdriver. I really like the lights with the battery separated from the light head by a flexible gooseneck. Like this one:

You can stick the light right up to what you're looking at and the battery section is not in your way. Isn't technology wonderful???

how far into it are you? fluid drained?, because it is way easier with the pan off than poking around with a screw driver!

and if you have the pan off. Buy a New one with the drain plug in it! (I am kicking myself for not doing that)

Thanks Danarchy, I actually have to take the pan off anyways to drain fluid, so I will just do that.
