OK, so after reading about swapping a 390 cfm 4bbl on an Offenhauser intake for my '75 Slant 6, I realize most folks recommend a 2bbl on an otherwise stock motor (with less restrictive exhaust). I am considering going with an adapter for my Offy and mounting a Holley 2Bbl which originally was for '68 and '69 383s. Any feedback? |

Holley 2210 or the later 2245 (and the 'big BBD') found on the big block will need a custom mount as it doesn't share the more common 2300 bolt pattern (found on Ford and the 6 pak mopars...), you would also need another adaptor if going back further to say a small block BBD or Holley 2280. The big block holley will also be a bit rich in all respects, and can't be tuned like the stocker model holleys. Just FYI before you get it all in hand and go "D'oH!" -D.Idiot |

So what options do I have as far as using the Offy 4bbl intake with a 2 bbl carb? I see several differnt adaptor plates on ebay. None of these would work? I would rather not have to but a manifold if I can somehow use this one. |

The bolt patterns on it are for Holley 2300, and the inner slots might be "little BBD/Holley 2280".... -D.Idiot |
