well ive looked at a few different places and found conflicting bits of info and i hope someone can help. im looking for a motor and managed to find one, and the casting number is 2806830. the seller says its a 66 motor, most charts list it as an 68-70, another chart had no years listed. any way i can find out for sure? also it has 5 freeze plugs |

The 225 in my 1967 Signet had a 5 freeze plug block, but don't remember the build date of the car.They could have swapped cranks and the engine could be a late block with a pre-68 crank installed. The date code on the pad above the #1 spark plug would help shed light on the story. -D.Idiot |

it has a manual trans on it, so they may have tossed in newer motor and trans, but im not sure. im going to look at it in person in a couple days to be sure |

Also my 66 had 3 plugs and smaller crank The 70 had 5 and larger crank which I had to have the bushing milled to accept . |
