How do you remove inner fenders? I want to either sand and paint my fire wall or do a aluminum engine compartment? Help?/????!?!?!? |

Mopars aren't like the Chevy Nova II where you can unbolt the front off the firewall. The unibody ties all the pieces together to provide strength to the adjoining parts connected parts. Once you unbolt the outer fenders, you are left with a sheetmetal "bathtub" formed by the inner fenders/wheel wells spot welded to the sub frame rails and fire wall and connected up front by the radiator support sheet metal. If restoring the engine bay, remove the engine and all the accessories, remove the wiring harness, remove the heater motor ring off the fire wall (and maybe the master cylinder too), tape off the other items sticking through it and go to town. Good Luck. -D.Idiot |

Thank you so much! What color should I do? Black? Or the color of the body? |

What color do you want to do? "Correct" is the color of the car. A black engine compartment is only "correct" on a black car. I think a white engine compartment would highlight spills and make it easier to see what was going on when working on the engine. It is your car, paint it as you wish!
