Only 2 weeks away, and I haven't seen any chatter. Who's planning on going?

That is a good point Charlie. I plan to be there. I hope we get a good turnout. Maybe we will get some responses. Are you looking at a race this year?

It looks like I have to make a trip sometime this summer to Union SC. I am looking to see if I can arange it for the Thur prior to the Knoxville race. Maybe make a "side" trip, up there, on Fri and then return to SC on Sun, back to Fl on Mon. That would pay for most of the trip. But it is "iffy" if I can make it work. That looks like the only possibility, this year.

If things work out, I will have my Cuda. I need to bring Ellen (the friend that lives with us) up to SC, to take care of some personal things. I would leave her in SC, and come up to the race, then go back to SC, to pick her up. The problem is, she has a doctors appointment the afternoon of the 25th. If we can get that appointment changed to a different day, or early in the morning, we would have enough time to get to SC that night. The other problem is, I might have to spend the time working on the rental property. I had an inquiry
about a possible renter as of the 1st of Aug. That is a priority, and it still needs some more work to be rentable. I will keep you posted.

Rodney and I both plan on being there. Hopefully, We'll both be racing.

AND our neighbor is working on a 71 Dart Swinger Slant 6, he's hoping to have it up and going so that he can come race with us also.

Well, everything fell apart. We will not be able to make Knoxville. Ellen's friends will not be home this weekend, so she won't be going to SC. Steven just found out that he can't get off work. So we will not be there.

Yeah, big congrats Ron! I think that puts you in the Nat'l points lead!

Wish I could have been there. I can hear Courtney's remarks to Lukus from here...

Andrew won three rounds this weekend at Medford, so he is still in the lead with 175. Ron is in second with 160.

I'll get the Championship thread updated shortly.

Suggestion on making up the rain out on Saturday: It might be wise to try to do it at Bristol rather than Clay City. That way, if there is another rain out or other issue at Bristol we still have Clay City to catch everything up.

I will call the folks at Clay City. I'm sure they will be okay with us running the make up on Friday. (Or we could do it like the Killer Bees and run it Sat or Sun...)
