Post subject:  Clay City 2013 on 28-29 September
The Mopar Southern Classic will be held at Mountain Park Raceway in Clay City, KY the weekend of 28-29 September.

There will be Slant 6 points races on both Saturday and Sunday.

We will also run the Knoxville Make-Up race on Saturday.

Saturday is "Mopar versus the World" and Sunday is "Mopar Only".

There is also a swap meet, car corral and car show!

There are directions, local hotels, etc. on their website links.

Entry Fee: $35 (it used to be $40)

Test & Tune Friday - Gates open at 5:00 / Testing 6:00 - Midnight
Saturday - Gates open at 10:00 / Time Trials 1:00 / Eliminations 4:00
Sunday - Gates open at 9:00 / Time Trials 10:30 / Eliminations 1:00

They will let us run the Knoxville Make-Up race on Saturday with no additional entry fee (no purse).

Pay Outs:

$300 - Win
$150 - Runner Up
$50 - Semi

There is camping allowed in the pits at no additional charge.

Rodney and I will be there. I think we're just going to bring his car. My car ran a little on the warm side when we had it out last week and until we figure out what's going on I don't feel comfortable taking it on a long trip.


Brian, Sam might want to share a room. He wasn't sure if he was going to get to go due to finances. I'll check with Sam tomorrow and let you know.

Alanna, l have been contacted already by another racer to share a room. I could ask the hotel for a rollaway bed, if Sam would like. I would like for Sam to be able to attend, and if this would make it possible for him to come, then we can make it work.

Yes You can camp in the pits.
