Post subject:  Mason Dixon Fall Race Oct 19, 20th
With Clay City finished up , that leaves the last East Coast race for the year here at Mason Dixon. I'd like to get the car count started. So if you are planning to come please let me know.

I am not sure how everything will work out since I will only be 3 weeks out from my back surgery. I highly doubt that I will be driving, and we may not have as big of a feast as in years past. But we will still have a great time.

I'm trying to make it, and Steve Adams may be coming up also. No car for Steve, but he has offered to tow my car up, if I pay for the gas, to spare my poor Toyota. We won't know for sure untill the begining of that week.

Charlie that would be great! And no promises, but there may be a vehicle here that needs a driver. Just depends on how many vehicles Ryan has ready and which one of the boys drives my car.

It's not me. It's either the site, the internet, or this damm computer. My wife has so much garbage on it, from the game sites, I hate to use it. Every time I hit "enter" something else pops up. There are so many words displayed that have a double underline, you can't hardley move the cursor around the screen, without going over one, and getting a popup. It is even worse, today, as she downloaded something else, last night.

There is no time on their web site and I have a e-mail in to Elmer requesting the times. I will post back soon.

Back is doing very well. Just walking with a cane now.Not much pain at all but I'm not sure when I will get cleared to drive due to my right foot.

To all,

Here are the gate & start times from the web site Saturday and Sunday are the same:

GATES OPEN 10 AM
Time Runs 12 Noon
Eliminations after 2nd Time Run


I will try and be there shortly after the gates open and get some parking saved if I can. If anyone beats me there try and park in the same general area that we always have. We will have a drivers meeting at @ 11:30 and go over a couple things.

I am still looking for some racers. We have plenty of people within spitting distance. How about coming out and enjoying the day racing with us?

We will still have some food for everyone both days but not quite as big a feast as in the past. Hot dogs, chips, brownies, water.....etc Plenty to keep us going!

We should have some cool air and fast track times. Come on out and support our race. The purse money is in my hand, so come and take it from me!!:lol: :lol:

Post subject:  Entry Fee
Forgot to say the entry fee is the same as past years. At the entrance to the track tell them you are racing Slant 6 and get your tech card. Then proceed in the blacktop driveway to your right and follow that between the buildings and past the staging lanes to the opposite side of the track. Look for the Slant six guys and come and see me and give me your $20 towards the payout.

Post subject:  T & Tune
Just in case anyone wants to run T&T on Saturday in addition to our race; I did verify that they are having a T&T also. Only bad part is it is $30. No discount for running the race. You will need to tell them at the gate that you want to run T&T in addition to Slant 6.

I checked with nearby 75-80 Dragway to see if they were running a T&T on Friday night and they are closed for the season already.

Sorry to say, Steve and I won't be able to make it. I have been busy this week and didn't get the new rear ready for the 66 Valiant. So the plan changed to bring the 66 Cuda. Steve called me today, and asked if I could scan his truck, for a check engine lite code. Brought the truck over, and he has a torque converter clutch code. He just had the converter replaced about 6 months ago, and it sould be under warentee, but there is now way it could be ready in time to leave, and we don't want to chance doing more damage to the trans.
