On a stock slant six will a small four barrel or like a 350 cfm 2 barrel make more horsepower/ torque. Same question if I bolted on a split header? Thanks LOVE THIS SITE!

Yes and yes, especially if used together. I have used a 390 Holley and Offy intake many times on a stock motor.

It's what I kinda figured. I alwayz hear everyone say a small 4 bbl is to much on a stock slant. I had an offy ona 66 dart with a 340 Avs way back when on a stone stock engine. It was like a shot of adrenaline. Was curious if experienced slant hot rodders would say to run a 2 shooter

You know there are a number of threads on using the stock carter BBD as an upgrade and updating that to a 350 cfm Holley 2 barrel with a little more umph...

The 2 barrel will be easier to tune, but with all the ducks in a row (i.e. cam, compression, porting, valves, exhaust, timing, rear gear choice), the 4 barrel will give better overall performance on a street driver and allow better air flow if the secondaries are called into play).
