That is normal. The filets are rolled on the crank after forging and before grinding. It is not a precision process (or at least it wasn't on these cranks). |

That is common with Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth cranks. They choose to undercut the filet instead of having it ground and blended with the journals bearing surface. |
