The "donut" gasket that goes between the adjusting plate and block receiver is something like a Fel-Pro 35608, the shaft housing gasket is a square cut O-ring, I think you will have to take it to a real auto parts store and paw through the O-ring container for the correct one.

Plumbing O-rings are made out of materials to resist water, not oil. However, if you can measure the O-ring you have I can find ones made out of oil resistant material

I can send you one if you like and no-one else is able to help. Youd have to PM me your address. Might be old/worn but at least you would have one to match up.

Mine was old hard and had just a hairline crack and it leaked like crazy. If you're really desperate theengine gasket kits included both of these O-rings. See in the top left corner of this picture...http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinf ... cc=1328734

Post subject:	Distributor O rings
I have a NOS electronic ignition distributor I got a few years ago from OCPNW. I was going to install it but it looks like it's missing both O rings. I have no idea if the current distributor in my car has O rings or what the condition of them are. I'd like to get new O rings for this distributor before I install it. Does anyone know how I can get ones that fit? Size? Link? Anything helps, thanks!!

Fel-Pro 35608 isn't it, too big, and says for water. The guy behind the counter was bad. I looked thru their O-rings and didn't find anything close. I'm really at a loss here. Anyone with a distributor out of the car can you measure you O-ring and find it on here? http://www.amazonsupply.com/o-rings/s/1 ... gw_c_hp_or This would be really good info for members to know the O-ring and donut gasket size. I can't really start this project without both of them...

If someone could just get me both O-rings, even loan them to me, I'd be happy to do the leg work and match them up via McMaster Carr or something and post the part numbers. Could any at least supply detailed dimensions for the O gasket that sits right under the distributor?

I bought one of those distributors from the same supplier. The O ring under the base is an odd size, you've no doubt already worked that out for yourself! I ended up disassembling the whole distributor for two reasons, firstly it was very stiff to rotate because the old lube had gone bad, and secondly to adjust the advance. While I was at it I found a pair of O rings that were close to what I needed. I ended up trimming the thinner O ring down to the correct OD by placing it over a shaft in a lathe and sanding it until it was thin enough, very fiddly but it worked. The thicker O ring under the base was sorted by using the thickest one I could fine and then building it up with a good silicone sealer, coat the block with oil and then insert the distributor and leave to set. Remove the distributor after silicone is set, trim off excess sealer and you should have a perfectly shaped seal for the area. It worked for me and it doesn't leak. The only correct O rings came in a gasket set, at least over here in Australia. Hope this helps!

I got mine @ McMaster Carr. Had to buy like 50 of one and 100 of the other. (or maybe 25 & 50) Anybody who needs them is welcome to a set for cost of postage. I'm going to hang on to 6 sets for myself. (by the time I use more than that, they will be dry rotted)
