has anybody seen/heard of/or owned an A with a floor shift instead of the 3 on the tree? my column is getting real sloppy. to the point where something is blocking me from putting grease in it. the zerc is ok. i took it out and blew grease thru it. something in deeper must be in the way. looking in the cab, the floor rite ahead of the parking brake could be a good spot. i'm thinking of a comically long shift handle like in some semi trucks. anybody ever try this? |

I know that some of the 80's shorty van's came with the A-833OD (shift stick is a little different than what is seen in the trucks or cars).-D.Idiot |

I guess I was a bit unclear in my question. I mean the a100/A108 vans or pick ups. Ever seen Wong of those with a floor shift in place? |

I have seen them, but i don't believe they were factory. You might want to try asking this over on www.vannin.com If I remember correctly, all the conversions I have seen mounted the shifter back above the trans and used a loooooooooong shifter handle. Usually an aftermarket shifter like a B&M or Sparkomatic or some such. |
