Is there any horsepower/torque gains by porting a stock exhaust manifold, and hogging out the exhaust dump as large as possible? Or is it a waste of time? |

There is probably a little there, but mainly a waste of time. By the time you get done porting it and get it installed it will crack anyway. |

Not worth it if you're paying someone to do it.......... If you have free time, it's not going to hurt; and might help a little.... |

Ya I was jus gonna try it out myself. Didn't know if anyone has tried the extrude honing before on a slant. |

Honestly, extrude honing is normally used when you want a finish that shows no tool marks. It is pretty much cost prohibitive for the gains made. If you have a way to get it done cheap it would be interesting to see the results. |

You will have to take the heat riser out or ruin it, and getting it back in may be prohibitive...if the car weren't being driven in under 60 degree weather, you'd get the same performance gain by just removing the flap, and plugging the holes with a pair of bolts to free up the cross section from the shaft and plate....-D.Idiot |
