Have 63 GT with 904 and no trans kickdown, per DD's  advice checked to find evidence of it having been removed also spoke with orginal owner and he stated it never had one. A check of the trans bears this out, no provisions for linkage found and the opening in housing covered by a bolted on plate. What interinal modifications would have been done as all 904 require slight line pressure to operated properly yet I have no driveability issues and trans has never been out of the car.

Wow, no throttle pressure lever comming out of the tranny.  To make this work the main line pressure and govenor pressure have to be used to control the shifts and hold the clutches / bands. That works but the trans will be kinda stupid and always shift the same way no matter what the load is. DD |
