I was running around this morning picking up some things for the house and car when I heard a ticking noise from the engine. It went from slight to loud then quit I pulled into a parking lot and looked in the engine compartment and did not see anything obvious and did not here the noise any more. I went to check the oil later on pulled out the dipstick and found that the end of it was broken off up to where the LL is for full
. WHY? the stick has allways been straight. What could grab and break it like that? Now I have a piece of metal loose in the oil pan. I just hope it comes out when I dump the oil.
