Anyone recognize these headers? They are 6 into 1 and believe they are Hookers with a measured 3 inch collector. I thought I read someplace the early Hookers had a 3 inch collector while the later 6 into 1's had a 2 and 1/2 inch collector. So, best guess, do they fit early 63-66 A's? I would think they'd fit the 67-76 chassis no problem. Or are they maybe for a truck?

Is there a 4 digit number stamped on the flanges anywhere?
I doubt they fit an early A-body. Definitely not a M/T one.

Don't most of the truck headers have the pipes collect towards the center and then slope towards the back?

Or collect at the center and go straight down - my 1982 W150 needs those as it has a huge geared starter mounted in the low position. I love these Hooker headers with the manifold heat but they are $650 - don't have that kind of cash.

Yes to a number on the flange - it's 9471 plus the flanges are no where 1/2 in thick - probably 3/8th with some kind of spacer welded where needed to the flange in order to bolt to the block. Maybe that number will show up if someone has an old Hooker (or whoever made them) parts book.

I pulled a very rusty set from a 71 Valiant that looked just like those.

On another thread here they were thought to be 6X1 JR/Mopar Perf headers that require some banging to fit early A. http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic ... de770ae75e
