So do we have a tentative schedule yet? Hoping it will be similar to last year (2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday). If we end up racing on Friday night, I won't get to come 'cause only one of us can take off work at a time. I'm pretty sure we're not the only ones that its hard for them to get to a Friday night race (Gary, Courtney, Lucas, Sam...), which negatively effects our car count/points.

Only Four weeks till Clay City, hope to see ya'll there.

Our tentative schedule is we have permission from Shane to run a make - up race for Crossville - however we see fit. Ron Hamby brought up the idea of an 1/8 mile race since some racers may be gearing up for a record. And yes, most agree that Friday night might not be the best idea for the make - up.

So...... what we need is a roll call and input from racers so I can call Shane and clue him in.

MrsLancer could you contact the Bruners so we can get their input on all this?

Roll Call,,,

Rodney WILL be there both days
Sam PLANS to attend both days
Meril WILL be there both days
Gary WILL be there both days
Luke if he gets to go will be there for both day
Larry is NOT planning on going
Courtney is NOT planning on Racing

SATURDAY / SUNDAY (NO FRIDAY) races seems to work best for this group

Wayne, I have not checked out my engine yet. I'm hoping its only a couple of burned valves. If repairs go well I plan to be there Fri. PM. As far as the race schedule goes, what ever works best for everyone has my vote.

Ron, if you need a head I have one of my Jeffrey heads at home. I can send it to you if you're in a bind.

I have my room reserved, but will be there as a spectator.

I don't know if I can make it or not. The chance is slim. If I can, it doesn't matter to me what days we run, as I would get there during the day on Friday, regardless. I would like the makeup race to be 1/8 mile, as I would like to try for a record, if I can get there.

Sorry, but I won't be able to make it to this race. Good luck to all the racers!!

Dennis, Wow that is a generous offer on the Jeffery head. My car wouldn't know how to act with a piece like that on it. Seriously though if it is burned valves I should be able to get ready in time. Big thanks it is the thought that counts.

I will be there, and I can do F, Sat, and/or Sun races.

I would like one race to be 1/8th if we can pull it off smoothly. I don't mind entering their regular footbrake 1/8th for time runs in that format.

Rodney would like to see the make up race be a 1/8 mile, but we're good with whatever works for the track. If we follow the same game plan from last year that would be the Saturday night race.

Looks like 2 regular 1/4 mile (Clay City) races with an 1/8 mile make-up to be held Sat. and Sun. I will wait till after the holiday to let more folks chime in before I give Shane a ring. Thanks everyone for their input.

Count us in for the 1/8th mile race on Saturday.

Does Clay City have scales to check the weight for a record run?

Mark and all,

Sounds great.

I can bring my scales to the track to check weights. Can someone please remind me a few days before the race??

Thanks and all the best,

Lou

Nobody ever checked weight before. Why start now?

I'm fairly certain at least one record holder was light.
