A year or so ago, I had my slant rebuilt. I included a double stove pipe on the offy valve cover, with PCV on the rear and vented cap on the front. Also on the rear, running from the PCV, I installed an aluminum catch can with a stop cock at the bottom to drain it (with vacuum line running to intake). I tend to change my oil every 3000 miles, sometimes sooner, depends on which weekend and if I have time. When the engine was really new, I used to get some oil from the catch can, say if I waited until after a few oil changes and then drained it, I'd get about 50 - 100 ml of oil. Recently, I stopped getting oil when I try to drain the catch can. Does this mean my rings are just seated better and I shouldn't be getting any oil? I'd imagine as the engine gets a lot of miles on it, I should start to see oil again from blow by.

Does this sound correct?

I don't have any issues with (major) oil leaks, the dipstick is pretty much on full always, I never have to add oil between changes.

Curious,

Brian
