What kind of exhaust are you going to use, and what is your tire size? anything over 230 @.050 is a little long in the tooth for a street driven vehicle. Our engines need help on the intake side more than the exhaust so having a longer duration on the intake side would be better if going for an asymmetrical cam...if you are running headers the longer duration on the exhaust would make more sense especially at 4-6000 rpm to promote scavenging. The all around torque curve would be better on the 224/224 @.050 (similar to the Erson 270/270).... I have one of their cam with the long duration and short lift and it isn't kind on the street and really need the revs to make it happy (i.e. 284/284 adv duration .440 lift and a 106 LSA), so FYI. DusterIdiot, eventually I will do an exhaust of either dual dutras or an actual header of some sort to single muffler. Also currently I am running 205/60r-14's And plan on something with a lil more meat down the road. So if I plan on doing an exhaust setup other than stock do you suggest the 224/224? |
