 Post subject: Roller Rockers
PostPosted: Fri May 09, 2003 5:25 pm
I was contemplating use the roller rockers from Cox. Is the expense worth the return on a street driven car? It will have a ported head, milled, headers etc. I realize that any reduction of friction is a good thing. Is any one currently useing these on the street and do you think the investment was worth it? Does anyone have a picture of these?

I would not use roller tip rockers on the street, your money is better spent elsewhere.
It is not that the roller rockers are bad, it's because the factory rockers are so good. I have used factory units in some pretty hot Slants that rev to the moon and never had any problems.
Here is a pic of a roller set-up:

Hey Doug,

Is that intake manifold drilled and tapped for injectors and is it your creation or is it commercially available? Thanx. RMDV.

The bosses were added for NOS Fogger nozzels but the boss can be used for a EFI injector.

The manifold is my creation and is commercially available, the Clifford Hyper-Pak is cast from the casting patterns I built back in 1994, last I checked, the Clifford version still had the bosses on the manifold.
