Hi all, new to the board :)

Can anyone enlighten me on the slant 6 crankshaft. I need to do an engine swap in my truck (1982 Dodge 4x4 4 speed) The engine is out of a station wagon with an automatic trans. If my memory is correct the manual transmissions use a pilot bushing in the crank.

Will the crank in the engine with the auto tranny be drilled for the pilot bushing??

Thanks,
Mark K

If it's not, you can go to Dodge and get the roller bearing for a Dakota truck. It's about $10.

One thing to check is that the motor you want to put in is a '68 and newer. The '67 and older had a smaller register on the back of the crank.

Thanks for the info. The engine is out of a 79 Volarie wagon.

Thanks again,
