Just spent the day installing hooker super comps and new Clifford intake.
Set the carburator and its leaning down to the passenger side.
I'm going to run carb east /west . Is this going to mess with the floats and mixture ? The old Offy was set up north south and was level.
thanks for the help in advance.

Is your engine otherwise level? Motor mounts in properly? Pictures?

My clifford intake was machined at an angle and when I called them they said it was done so on purpose. But then again im running a 4bbl with it facing front to back.

You guys know that the slant tilts slightly to the rear in the engine bay, and the intake runners look warped to make up for that on the stock and properly cast manifolds, right?

Carb orientation should not matter on Edelbrock or Holley carbs on the shorty or the long rams regardless of orientation unless you are in 4x4 country and expect sharp inclines in either direction.

Well it turns out when you install a Raso heater under an older Clifford intake with hooker headers the heat exchanger plate is in the way. Causes the intake to pitch up. Guess that job is only rated for two beers not three.
Thanks for all the suggestions .
You guys are the best.
Btw the Raso heater is an awesome addition. Mileage went up 3-4 and plugs are clean.

A Danish guy I worked with had a rule to wait until after to hit the beer. I picked up the rule, but make exceptions for stuff like sanding paint or unbolting the seats.
