Post subject: Cant drop down into 1st

Just put in the904 and the valve body has an issue with jumping out of its shift range. So I just took the valve body off the 727 and put it in. Haven't test drove. Just been going through the gears. Will go to second but not first but then again I hardly tried 1st in the 727. just wanted to have it available because of the b&m shifters rachet mode. Any ideas what it could be?

Wrong shift lever on the trans? Did you swap the original shift lever for the B&M piece?
