Attempted to remove the wire going to my Neutral/Safety Switch in my 65 Belvedere with original a904 and the prong snapped right off. Is there anyway I can repair this or is any one selling one? The cheapest I have seen them is 75$ on e-bay.

You need a new one. '65-'68 is the interchange. Check with Torqueflite Patty, tflitepatty@comcast.net , and with Old Car Parts Northwest.

So TourqueFlight Patti is on vacation and her ebay store is temp. shut down. Ill check the latter.

'68 and previous use a 1-prong neutral safety switch. The 3-prong switch is '69-up.

I may catch hell for suggesting this, but if you're in a bind and need the car to run, you can take the wire that went to the safety switch and connect it to ground. This will allow the car to start no matter where the shifter is, so BE CAREFUL and make sure you're in neutral or park before cranking it over.

I'm going to do that very thing until I can find a switch that isn't 45$.

I hate to say it, but this is not 1975 any more. New parts for old cars cost money. By all means keep looking for a lower-priced switch, but set yourself a time deadline (two weeks?) and then buy the switch and install it. It's not called the neutral safety switch for nothing, and a crash resulting from the "oops" that switch is designed to prevent will cost you a whole lot more than $45.

Put a push to operate switch in the loop so it will only start while you are pushing the button . Not the best but better then hot all the time ....

The 1 wire neutral safty switch is now being reproduced and is available thru Northwest Performance,Ben Snobar. I am sure they will be costly.Just putting this out there..

1. I don't see any evidence of that on his website...got a link?

2. There are different 1-wire neutral safety switches. '60-'64 is one type, and '65-'68 is another type. Which type(s) have you seen or heard that he's reproducing?

3. Probably still cheaper and easier to buy one from one of the sources I linked above.

It was in the latest Mopar Collector's Guide August 2015

I checked Tflitepatty on ebay and I came up with a note that said I could not buy it because they were on vacation and the store was temp. shut down. I called Old Car Parts Northwest, they Guy I spoke with was just helping out there. He was very nice and looked around for a bit but couldn't find any. I am waiting for a call back as he said he just had a couple of them. Until then I JB welded a new bolt onto the switch and I'll see if that works for the meantime until.
