I can't seem to figure out how to remove the bell housing off my 225. Am I missing something here? The clutch and flywheel are still on as well.

Is it still in the car?

If so then lower rear of engine and take out the 2or 3 rearward bolts in the passenger side of the engine.

Remove the starter, remove the bellhousing brace, remove all the bellhousing to block bolts and it comes right off the locating pins. So long as this isn't a truck with the 11" clutch the clutch and flywheel can stay in place.

If it is the 11" truck bell there are bolts hidden inside the bell.

If it's the standard bell, you have to remove the starter, and the bolts to the brace from the bell, and the bolts on each "ear" of the block from the engine side, then get the 3 from the back of the block up high...if leaving the flywheel and clutch, pulling the inspection cover plates will help greatly if being difficult in removing it outright...

If it's the 11" truck clutch...you gotta remove the clutch and flywheel to get the last few bolts inside the upper lip of the bellhousing at the back of the block....

It came outta a truck. Starters off and all bolts removed. Now I have to figure out how to remove flywheel with the motor on the ground on a tire. Lol life man. I only bought it cause i was gonna put it in my 65. I dont need it anymore. Anyone in nc just wanna buy this? It was running. Engine is complete with newer nos carb. I'll sell with tranny and all. Just don't have the shifter. Think it's a 3spd.

This guy is the best for the job:

But I've jambed a screwdriver through the damper, or put a bolt through one of the damper holes to catch on the timing cover, etc. to keep the crank from turning while using a breaker bar on the flywheel bolts...
