A904 pan gasket?

Post subject:  A904 pan gasket?
There is a heavy duty, leak free pan gasket designed for the A518 trans (727 derivative). It is rubber and plastic, nearly impossible to crush.
Does anyone know if there is one like it made that fits the A904 trans?

I feel dumb answering my own question, but I thought I would pass on the part number.
Mopar # 4295875AC
This is the heavy duty rubber/plastic (reusable) pan gasket made for the A500 type of trans but fits the A904.

The Chrysler trans pan gasket is about three million percent better than the "realgaskets" item. And much easier to install. And re-usable. But if you're a masochist and like making your job harder (and want your car to have never-ending fluid leaks), or you have a sincerely-held religious belief that silicone is a magical be-all, do-all, best-of-all gasket material for all applications, which it is not, by all means get the "realgaskets" item.

I was specifically looking for the MOPAR item, which I found (second post).
Has anyone used the RealGaskets slant six fiberglass reinforced valve cover gaskets? They are pricey, but look pretty good.

Hit that thread I linked above ("is not") to read about unfortunate experiences with valve cover gaskets from "real gaskets".

Then just buy the Fel-Pro VS-12680R rubber valve cover gasket for seven bucks and be done with it.

The speed shop I go to keeps the good Mopar trans pan gaskets in stock. Another vote here for them being the best.

That said, the main reason pan and valve cover gaskets leak is that the bolts get tighteneddown way too tight and deform the pan/cover and cut through the gasket. Then, the cover/pan does not get flattened back out and just cuts the new gasket too. Been there, done that, too many times.

Good to know, thanks. I have been using the FelPro silicone VC gaskets.

I bet Slant Six Dan has never even used a REALGASKET gasket! I have, actually have the Valve Cover gasket and the Trans.Pan gasket. I have never removed the trans. pan gasket as it has only been on a little over a year and I have had no need to. The Valve Cover gasket has been off numerous times and just washed with DAWN dish washing soap. Never had a single problem out of it, and it does not leak. Neither gasket was anymore difficult to install. Satisfied Customer.

(I bet Slant Six Dan doesn't care about your bets. I bet Danarchy doesn't care about Slant Six Dan's bets. I bet anyone's free to use whatever which gasket he wants on his own cars. I bet everyone's free to follow or ignore whosever advice he might see on an internet site. I'm winning a lot of bets tonight; I must be on a roll. AFAIK the Fel-Pro VS-12680R is made of an appropriate oil-resistant rubber (nitrile or similar), not of oil-averse silicone.

I can get multiple valve lashes out of the fel-pro valve cover gasket...so x2 on that recommendation.....
