Have anyone finished mounting a GM 200R4 auto trans on to a SL6 block yet? Just curious, the silence around the project is almost deafening...

BTW, it's my 10th anniversary today!

There is a detailed installation covered by "akbmotorsports" from about 1 yr ago. Very nice work. I just ordered my trans and converter and hope to start installation in a couple of weeks.

Thank you neilskiw, but I actually meant that I've been married to the forum for 10 years!

Lou, I know that, but I have not seen any progress reports from all the members that bought an adapter a couple of years ago.

Andy used that exact adapter kit from Wilcap.

Just curious, but did you consider a"de-lockup" job on
your A-500, then using a std. 904 TC? Not certain how much the mpg'd
suffer, but given the OD, may be relatively negligible. I realize you've
already pulled the trigger on the 200R4, but wondered if that was already
considered and rejected, and why. Thx.

The A500 is rare, hard to get performance parts for, very heavy, and not high on the torque rating. This is a truck transmission. These are the reasons I am switching to the 200-4R. I have just started the 200-4R install and will post pics soon.

Best,
Lou
